VOLCANIC ERUPTION

An installation that explores the relationship between perception and the physical world, utilizing an animated depiction of a volcanic eruption and a pair of oversized 3-D glasses to illustrate this concept. The viewer, by donning the glasses, is presented with two distinct perspectives: through one lens, the destructive force of the volcano is highlighted; while through the other, the cyclical nature of the surrounding plant life is brought to the fore. The installation encourages the viewer to step back and consider the broader picture, recognizing that even the most destructive events can also bring about new growth and renewal.
